Sometimes, existing formulas need to be updated to transform absolute references like $A$1 in relative references like A1.
In such cases, this feature can come in handy by allowing you to add or remove the dollar signs on an existing range.
To use this:
- Select the range for which the formulas need to be fixed.
- Click Absolute / Relative from the Excel ribbon of Power-user.
- The below window will open:
- Select the option that works best for you. You can apply absolute or relative reference to the row or column reference.
- Click OK to validate. The changes will affect all cell references in the formulas from your selected range.
